Yevhen Stankovych (b. 1942) is a contemporary Ukrainian composer of stage, orchestral, chamber, and choral works. Since 1988, he has been a professor of composition in the Kiev Conservatory, now the National Music Academy of Ukraine. His “Alïluiya,” based on the Hymn of the Little Entrance, is part of a free, concert-style (non-liturgical) setting of the Orthodox Divine Liturgy.
