On this disc the Bolshoi Theater Children's Choir begins to just scratch the surface of the extensive Russian secular choral literature for children's voices. The selections are well-chosen and brilliantly performed. This is a "must have" recording for anyone interested in this area of the repertoire and, if the next disc in this series is any indication (see E003), this choir will continue to dazzle us with their fine offerings. The notes (E only) are informative, but no text translations are given.
