Rachmaninoff composed the Six Choruses in 1895 for a chorus at the Maryinsky Girls' School, where he was a teacher of music theory. This is a lovely Romantic cycle for two-part treble voices and a brilliant piano accompaniment. This edition includes both the Russian text along with English text, translated by Mark Herman and Ronnie Apter.
